Job Description
Embark on a leadership journey at the Didipio Mine operations as we seek a seasoned and results-oriented Superintendent Paste Plant for our Processing Department. Reporting directly to the department manager, you will wield significant influence in shaping and executing strategies to optimize paste plant performance and enhance gold recovery. As a Superintendent with extensive experience in gold processing operations, your leadership acumen and proven track record will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of our large-scale operation.
- Responsible for the safety, production, quality and budgets for the Paste Plant operations.
- Provide inputs and work collaboratively with senior managers, other superintendents and supervisors from several departments related to Paste Plant operations, including but not limited to UG Paste section, Geotechnical section, Process Ops section and Maintenance section.
- Continuously improve the performance of Paste Plant, identify potential issues, and applies continuous improvement method.
- Responsible for people management of Paste Plant crew.
- Prepare production plans, delegate work to their teams, oversee progress, solve problems, and take corrective action when required
- Assist in development of short and long-term control and planning with operational and capital budgeting.
- Continually acquire knowledge and skills related to interaction with people, technical capability, and production processes.
- Acts as mentor and coach to the Paste Plant crew.
Qualifications
- Behavior consistent with OceanaGold Values and Code of Conduct.
- 10 years of experience within a Paste Plant environment, with 5 years in the supervisory level.
- Proven skills in leadership, coaching and performance management.
- Display a hands-on approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to engage directly with operational challenges at various levels.
- Possess excellent collaboration skills, enabling seamless cooperation with other departments and fostering a culture of partnership and mutual accountability.
- International experience in a developing country is preferable.
