Job Description
OceanaGold are seeking a suitable qualified and motivated Mobile Maintenance Superintendent. Reporting to the Manager - Asset Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for the leadership of the Underground Mobile Equipment Maintenance Department, playing a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of gold resources. You will contribute to organisational success by maintaining the underground mobile equipment through pragmatic, effective, and collaborative maintenance activities through the agreed weekly plan which is aligned to the strategic direction of the business.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Execute asset management plans to aligned with LOM mining strategy and schedules
- Assist in the development and implementation of mobile asset business improvement initiatives
- Report on asset activities, including forecast updates of future asset performance and cost schedules
- Establish and maintain the highest possible standards of housekeeping and cleanliness within the Asset Maintenance Department work area and mine site in general
- Maintain and encourage a positive safety and environment culture
- Lead and drive improved performance through team coaching and capability development
- Set team performance expectations and drive team accountability
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to solve systemic and complex issues that impact maintenance strategies
- Monitor asset data trends to ensure accurate lifespan predictions on heavy mobile fleet assets
- Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for the mine's heavy mobile fleet and drive sustainable outcomes

Qualifications

- Be able to secure a company-sponsored work visa
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar underground role together with proven cross-cultural management capabilities
- At least 7 years Maintenance Planning and/or Maintenance Reliability
- 3 years Projects, Scheduling, and Turnaround Management
- Knowledgeable in Fixed Plant Machineries, Underground Equipment Remote System, Mining Processing Plant, Maintenance Management and Project Management
- Demonstrated experience as a front-line leader driving asset improvement initiatives

- High levels of enthusiasm and high-performance goals for self and team
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills
- Proven track record in safety and risk management
- Proficient with computer programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI
- Experience with CMMS programs (PRONTO/JDE/SAP)
- Proficient in mechanical, auto-electrical, and hydraulic systems
