Structural Engineer (BIM-engineer & Project estimator) On-site

You will be part of a small but growing company where direct and accurate communication is important. You will contribute to the growth of the company and are expected to help further develop and optimise the existing processes.

As a Structural Engineer specialising in concrete studies, you will be responsible for assisting the project manager in preparing the project for execution. Preparing bids and execution plans, checking, reviewing and mutually coordinating all construction-related plans and preparing them for execution. This with a focus on concrete structures through meticulous planning, analysis and oversight.

Your primary duties will include preparing reports, designs, drawings and conducting calculations related to quantities and related factors that determine the price. All of this based on the documents provided by the client which you will use to make a 3D BIM quotation model in Revit and/or an excel template depending on the project requirements. After rewarding the contract you will further develop this model into an execution model with accompanying execution plans and you will assist the project manager in preparing the project for execution.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the BIM workflow and further optimisation according to customer requirements, internal efficiency and liaise with other professional staff to coordinate project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed reports, designs, and drawings for construction projects, ensuring compliance with customer's standards and in line with building codes , specifically focusing on concrete structures.
• Conduct thorough calculations to analyse quantities and related factors that determine the price.
• Deliver technically complete bill of material, design documentation and summary reports for the Design Manager.
• Analyse and check architectural drawings with structural drawings to find and report any discrepancies.
• Analyse and check all the submitted supplier plans for irregularities and prepare them for correct execution on site.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating activities, resources, and timelines to ensure timely completion and delivery.
• Record man-hour charges accurately into weekly timesheets and ensure correctness of project and non-project man-hour charges.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in structural engineering, with a focus on concrete structures and design.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, concrete materials, mix designs, and building codes and regulations.
• You have good knowledge of Revit and Autocad and other BIM-related software tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
