Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Procurement Officer is responsible for planning, consolidating and executing purchase of materials or services in a set cycle time and within the approved budget and specifications; Complies with the Company's procurement policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consolidates purchase requests (PR) and manages the process to generate purchase orders (PO) following the company's procedures, including Contracting Strategy (CS), Approved Source List (ASL), Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Invitation to Bid (ITB), Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), Commercial Bid Evaluation (CBE), Negotiation, and Award.
  • Ensures that the materials delivered and works completed are in accordance with the set specifications and requirements.
Executes PO amendment for any variation after PO is issued and prepare a contract for certain transaction that it is required.
  • Provides value added service to customers by proposing substitute or any other solution to save on cost or for faster delivery.
Generates, analyzes and prepares reports, operational statistics, market forecasts, commodity trends and spend analysis.
  • Develops and maintains relationship with vendors to gain cost competitiveness through encouraging response for sourcing activities in the short and medium term; identifies capable vendors as potential partners in the longer term.
Executes sourcing plans and strategies that could reduce cost of purchases (materials and services), increase product/service reliability and improve risk management.
  • Executes quality improvement initiatives covering the whole procurement supply chain.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred) or Accounting or any related business courses.
  • More than one year relevant experience in procurement, accounting or ship management in heavy engineering, shipping industry, construction or oil & gas industries.
Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge Required: Proficiency in contract management and supplier relationship management (SRM).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php21,
