Pag-asa Steel seeks a Stores Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring availability of spare parts and operating supplies to serve the needs of the plant efficiently, effectively and on time.
- Key Tasks and Responsibilities include:
Managing people, budgets, and timelines to achieve results
- Formulating and executing annual plan for stock items, aiming to reduce the cost of materials and improve service to user departments
Performing thorough reviews on material issuance slips, purchase requisitions and returns, invoices, receiving reports, and other records or documents- Maintaining accurate records of stores inventory
Reviewing and determining economic order quantity and consumption rate for purchase requisition of stock items
- Planning layout of storage
Recommending improvements in the inventory system as deemed necessary- Creating conscientiously and fastidiously new item codes for first time purchases, whether stock or non-stock items
Maintaining effective communication with purchasing, user departments and plant personnel
- Performing other related tasks that may be assigned by supervisor
- Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
Preferred candidates will exhibit the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant prior experience
Two (2) years work experience or more in Warehousing or Inventory Management, one (1) year or more in a supervisory or managerial role
- Knowledge of basic inventory management principles
Ability to review documents to ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures- Good supervisory and leadership skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Service orientation, outstanding interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently- Project management, risk management, and time management skills
Ability to multi-task, adapt, and learn quickly
- Superior organization skills and attention to detail
Strong negotiation skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and email software mandatory, experience with ERP and reporting software a plus
