The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring and coordinating the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy care in general patient care areas. He / She promotes rational drug use, monitors individual patient drug therapy, assists in giving emergency care, provides drug information and functions periodically in other units.
- Assist in the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications following hospital policies and regulations.
Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounding, including intravenous (IV) medications, under supervision.- Ensure the correct dosages, forms, and administration routes for medications.
Support fellow pharmacists in reviewing and interpreting physician orders to ensure appropriateness of therapy.
- Participate in medication therapy management to help optimize patient outcomes.
Assist in monitoring patient responses to medications and making necessary adjustments in therapy.- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure integrated care.
Communicate effectively regarding medication-related issues and changes in patient therapy under supervision.
At least a Bachelor's / College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board / Professional License Exam), Pharmacy / Pharmacology or equivalent
- At least one year experience in a hospital setting
Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
