Staff Nurse

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Results Area (1) Customer Service and Daily Operations - 40%

• Performs quick health assessment to patients and provides proper endorsement of patient/s to other departments

Attending patients queries and complaints includes coordination with the HMO department for the processing of patient's healthcare coverage.

• Gives clear instructions to patients undergoing laboratory and/or diagnostic procedures.

Key Results Area (2) Nursing Service - 30%

• Assistance to the Doctor with room preparation

Aids the Doctor during minor procedures

• Performs vital signs taking on patients

Plans and provides medical care to patient

• Monitors and records infectious cases

Performs out-patient nursing procedures and intervention

• Provides nursing care during urgent and emergent cases

Provides health education to patients

Key Results Area (3) Administrative Task - 30%

• Patient registration, updates general data of patients in the system and proper documentation in case of cancelled transactions.

Encodes correct laboratory and diagnostic tests.

• Provides proper charging of supplies used after minor procedures and sending of necessary test results

Collects and provides proper screening of LOAs before sending them to HMO Department

• Provides proper monitoring of medical supplies, emergency medicines (Nurse Station)

Provides proper monitoring of doctor's attendance

• Encodes daily revenue and census of the department

Provides daily updates of the Department's status to superiors

• Maintains and monitors stock inventory

Monitors expired medicine, near expiry, and expired medicine (first in - first out basis)- Nurse Station

• Performs assigned tasks from time to time

• Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in nursing, medical technology, or any equivalent

• Work experience as a Nurse Aide/Assistant or similar role.

Excellent attention to detail

• Great written and verbal communication

Flexibility in work duties and schedule

• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
