  • ORMB for Banking enables corporate and retail banks to balance product-based and relationship-centric pricing.
  • ORMB for Payments enables traditional payment processors, card schemes, merchant acquirers, and disruptors to process a high volume of transactions.
  • ORMB for Insurance provides a modern, rules-based system for billing, payment and collections that increases revenue opportunities while reducing costs, improves customer service, provides sales channel support and handles large group bill, and consolidates billing infrastructure.
  • ORMB for HealthCare Payers helps healthcare payers to capitalize on new markets, respond to legislation, and improve operational efficiency.

The ORMB Manila Delivery Center is a young team and most of our seniors were, themselves, previous bootcampers many years ago. This provides an environment where new grads and new hires feel they are a part of a team that they can relate to, and who understands them.

About The Position

The position offers experienced Technical Designers and Developers the opportunity to build and expand their career as a global Consultant working on Oracle implementation projects for global financial services industry. Successful candidates with prior experience in translating functional requirements to technical specifications have an advantage. Skills in building highly efficient and quality code translated from solution driven designs are mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Convert moderate to complex Technical Design specifications into high quality working code within agreed budgets and time frames.
  • Convert simple to moderate Functional Design specifications into Technical Design that will be used by a developer to build code.
  • Prepare unit test plan and unit test cases. Perform unit testing of programs according to defined process using the unit test plan and unit test cases.
  • Ensure the quality of one's own deliverables through adherence to project standards and methodologies.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of code written by peers or junior developers.
  • Assist architects, designers, team lead or project manager in producing detailed estimates of development effort.
  • Provide support during system testing, user acceptance testing, Go-Live and maintenance support phases.
  • Assist in the clarification and resolution of issues as they arise during the design and development process.
  • Assist in the project team's release activities and in the review and sign-off of release deliverables.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent course
  • 2-5 years of work-related experience with Java SE, SQL, and OOP Principles and Design
  • Experience in Java Servlets and JSP, WebLogic admin, web services (REST/SOAP), JMS, Oracle DB performance tuning, or PL/SQL is desirable
