• Prepare journal entries for accounting transactions and assist with month-end closing activities for corporate entities.
  
• Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
  
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of various balance sheet and income statement accounts (e.g., cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, etc.).
  
• Analyze account variances and discrepancies, research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  
• Identify opportunities to enhance reconciliation processes and contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements.
  
• Support tax filings by providing necessary documentation.
  
• Document processes and internal controls.
  
• Perform other duties that support the financial management function of the company as needed.
  
• Handle additional tasks as assigned.
  

Requirements

Education and Experience

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
  
• 2+ years of experience with significant accounting responsibilities.
  

Skills and Specialized Knowledge

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
  
• Self-starter with solid organizational skills and effective management of multiple priorities or reprioritization of projects.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including databases, data filtering, and the use of mathematical, logical, statistical, and financial functions is a plus.
