SSI Marine Surveyor

_Survey Specialists, Inc._ (SSI) was formed for marine surveying on behalf of P&I Clubs and their members with offices in Manila. It is staffed with experienced and competent surveyors who are called upon by the Clubs Correspondent in the Philippines to attend, investigate, and report on accidents and claims. The Company has been accredited by various P&I Clubs all over the world through their Philippine Correspondent, Pandiman Philippines, Inc.

SSI surveyors are called upon to assist with many different P&I cases, ranging from arrested vessels and routine cargo surveys to major disasters.

The expertise of the SSI team is rooted in thirty-five years of dedicated service in the Philippines and other ports outside the country. The service is backed by a highly experienced group of marine surveyors, well-versed in loss prevention and damage control.

• SSI cope of works is presented hereunder, but not limited to:

• Hull-Related Surveys

- P&I Inspection

- P&I Pre-entry Condition Survey

- Condition and Valuation Survey

- On Hire / Off Hire Condition Survey

- Hull & Machinery Damage

- Salvage and Re-floating

- Agrounding and Touch Bottom

- Collision and Allision

• Cargo-Related Surveys

- Pre-loading Survey of bulk (i.e. Nickel ore, Iron Ore, Ore, Coal etc)

- Pre-loading Condition Survey of Steel Products

- Loading / Discharging Supervision / Cargo Inspection

- Bunker Survey (on Hire/Off Hire)

- Cargo / Container Damage Survey and Disappearance of Cargo & Container

- Off Specification Survey

- Draught / Draft Survey

- Cargo Contamination Inspection

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Conducts survey inspection without prejudice to any party involved/concerned.

• Submits preliminary, interim and final survey /narrative reports at the deadline every day.

• Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in related field (courses related to Maritime, Engineering, Naval Architecture a plus)

• Required language(s): English

At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Required Skill(s): Computer Literate, Typing, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Able to communicate clearly and concisely both oral and written.

• Must be willing to work some late hours, weekends, and holidays.

Must be hardworking, mature, with high sense of responsibility, and can work well under pressure, and obedience to Company policies and procedures.

Must have great attention to details.Must be available 24/7 and will be onboard the ship
