Job Overview.
The Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and operation of the server infrastructure. Can authorized the design and direction of the overall server infrastructure if Sr. Systems Engineer is not available. This position serves as medium-high level technical expert on computer systems and all associated issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with other supporting team in the planning of server infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement plans.
- Work with security, disaster recovery, and other vendors providing required services to the server infrastructure.
- Work with the IT Application Development group and, when necessary, end users to stay abreast of changes within the production processing environment and to assist in the resolution of production processing problems.
- Communicate with coworkers, management, staff, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence and faxes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum 8 years of experience in the IT field.
- A minimum 5 years of Microsoft Windows (2003/2008) Server Systems engineering, administration and troubleshooting
- A minimum 3 years of Microsoft Windows Server solution design and implementation.
- Microsoft MCITP / MCSE (Solutions Expert) Server Infrastructure certification
