The Project Development Specialist performs complete desk review/assessment and due diligence activities to determine the financial and technical viability of potential projects, joint venture and/or acquisition initiatives. The job entails preparation of necessary documentary requirements for permitting and compliance with post condition requirements for projects during pre-development phase. Part of the scope includes coordination with JV partners, affiliates/subsidiaries, government agencies, developers, contractors/consultants, LGUs and other key stakeholders in connection with pre-development related activities for power projects.
The job also involves technical analysis and pvsyst simulation, project cost estimate, preparation of preliminary project layout and proposed connection for renewable energy projects especially for rooftop and utility scale solar PV projects. This includes simulation of financial model and tariff derivations to establish proposals and strategic recommendation to Management on potential business opportunities.
The scope likewise includes provision of regulatory and commercial operations support to concerned functional groups and affiliates on areas relating to the groups scope and responsibility. It entails the conduct of market study and research work to be well abreast of regulatory changes and new issuances by oversight agencies.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledgeable project development, permitting requirements and process, tariff design formulation, financial modeling, project valuation and due diligence on power projects
- Has related work experience in the power industry and familiar with project development activities and regulatory framework
