5-10 years Proven experience as a Performance Test Engineer or similar role- Proficiency in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python).
Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring and profiling tools.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and execute performance tests to evaluate the responsiveness, stability, and scalability of software applications and systems.
- Test Script Development: Create and maintain performance test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python).
Test Data Management:- Develop and manage test data sets that represent realistic usage patterns and load profiles.
Load Generation: Configure and manage test environments to simulate real-world user loads, including peak usage scenarios.
- Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor and analyze system performance metrics during tests, identifying performance bottlenecks, and suggesting improvements.
Reporting: Prepare detailed performance test reports, including findings, recommendations, and performance metrics.- Collaboration: Work closely with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to address performance issues and optimize system performance.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in performance testing and actively contribute to process improvements.
