Qualifications- 6+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on implementing enterprise core network technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NAT, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.
- Experience with network design, configuration, and troubleshooting in complex, multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including network segmentation, access control, and threat detection.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Network certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise core network technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking devices.
- Configure and manage routing protocols and static routing to optimize network performance and reliability. - Implement and manage VLANs, spanning tree protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP), and network segmentation to enhance network security and scalability.
- Configure and manage network security appliances such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPN concentrators.
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and utilization using network monitoring tools and implement proactive measures to optimize network performance.
- Troubleshoot network issues, identify root causes, and implement timely resolutions to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications. - Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and reliability of network operations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in networking and network security.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to junior team members and other IT staff on network technologies and best practices
