Primary Duties & Responsibilities
In addition, other duties and skills will include cash management, review and approval of payments to vendors, managing annual external audit of financial statements for statutory reporting, managing BIR audits, ERP implementation, standard cost and transfer pricing management, and preparation of financial justification to support capital projects.
This position requires strong oral and written communication skills, good managerial skills, complete understanding of the accounting and finance function and its many processes; thoroughly familiar with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS; well familiar with local tax and international tax rules such as transfer pricing documentation requirements and regulations, the 15% minimum Income tax (BEPS 2.0), etc., can operate modern financial management software, and knows how to crunch the numbers and interpret the data.
Education & Experience
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant
- At least more than ten (10) years work experience in accounting or finance. Experience in an auditing firm an advantage. MBA degree is a plus
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Finance or Accounting Manager, with people leadership experience
- With PEZA experience and manufacturing background preferably in semiconductor industry
- Other required experiences are preparation of annual audited financial statements for statutory reporting, top-down budgeting, reporting financial packages in review meeting with Finance and Operation's Leaders both locally and internationally, review and approval of payments to vendors, employee payrolls and accounting journal entries and of all financial reports prior to release
Skills
- Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, financial modeling tools)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
- Strong leadership capability; ability to effectively manage teams
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
