Position Summary:
The Senior Business Process and Finance Transformation Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, and leading various process and technology improvement initiatives with a focus on business process continuous improvement. This role will work closely with Finance and cross-functional teams from global business units and IT to execute finance transformation projects. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker capable of translating business requirements into best practice business processes that align with the Finance function's strategic transformation vision.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key member of project teams, working with cross-functional business partners to analyze, design, and implement end-to-end finance process solutions that enhance standardization, efficiency, and compliance with local statutory government regulations
- Drive cross-functional stakeholder alignment for solution design, ensuring holistic documentation for each initiative
- Conduct process walkthroughs to enhance business understanding and drive the successful adoption of solutions
- Advocate for global process standardization and best practices, offering recommendations and assessing the impacts of necessary deviations
- Schedule workshops and assist project managers by documenting RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) items, capturing key design decisions, developing gap/fit analyses, and maintaining requirements traceability matrices
- Document comprehensive end-to-end analyses of finance processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Support the creation of technical solutions to automate and enhance processes
- Conduct detailed change impact assessments, track business readiness, and coordinate risks/issues with project management
- Partner with change management to ensure process and change messages are consistent and clear
- Develop and maintain training materials, tools, and templates for end-users
- Document comprehensive requirements and key processes, including current state, change impacts, trainings, and cut-over
- Conduct business requirements reviews, coordinate testing, prepare test scripts, and manage testing approvals
- Schedule and design workshops based on business requirements and objectives
- Identify training needs and provide targeted training to team members
- Benchmark best practices and industry standards to reengineer business processes and measure efficiency improvements
- Prepare and input financial information and data into structured workbooks, ensuring accuracy and consistency for various analytics and configuration use cases
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience as a business analyst with knowledge of accounting and finance best practices. Experience in finance transformation projects is essential
- Ability to engage confidently with senior-level managers/executives, build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience with Workday a plus
- Strong financial, analytical, and data proficiency abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Effective in managing cross-functional team discussions
- Highly organized, motivated, and a driven self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team
