As an integral member of our Business Intelligence and Reporting team, the Sr. BI Report Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, project management and support of mission-critical enterprise business intelligence reports. Working with cross-functional departments and business leaders, this role will participate in gathering and documenting reporting requirements to meet business needs which are translated into reporting dashboards as output.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting & Analysis
Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements.
Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources.
Participate with other specialists to convert legacy reports to the enterprise BI solution.
Design and build operational dashboard/s to enable business leaders with actionable information.
Mastery of data visualization, data storytelling, and able to build effective and structured dashboards, infographics and data presentations.
Build and maintain data warehouse/s
Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision
Project Delivery
Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users.
Transition developed reports and dashboards to the Operations & Support team.
Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users.
Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
Provide training and assistance to users for generation of adhoc reports.
Alerts managers, as appropriate, when issues arise.
Maintains consistent communication to enhance the support experience.
Consistently demonstrates sound judgement.
Serves as a contributor to project teams, extending assistance where necessary.
Assists in implementing and maintaining operational processes to ensure compliance to Company policies, legal requirements and regulatory mandates.
Process Improvement
Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented for your sphere of influence.
Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes.
Conduct daily huddles and regular meetings with team members to continuously communicate key information regarding changes to business and/or policies and procedures.
Mentor other analysts and guide through specific projects.
Improves quality results by recommending changes as needed in accordance with project requirements.
To be successful in this role you must
Educational Background:
- Preferably college graduate of a technical or business course and from a reputable institution.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Contact Center experience.
- At least 3 years experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards, including :
a. Working with users in a requirements analysis role;
b. Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations;
c. Knowledge of logical modeling concepts.
- Programming/scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform, Looker, Data Studio, Google App Scripts, Python, SQL, Big Query, PowerBi and understanding of RPA solutions.
- Expert on using MS Excel, VBA Macro and charting principles.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required.
- Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures.
- Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external and customer teams.
- Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Requires leadership qualities to mentor junior members of the team.
