Responsibilities & Skills:
Lattice Semiconductor is looking for a Senior Applications Engineer, focusing on Technical Support. The position is located in our Manila, Philippines office. This position is responsible for direct customer technical support, reference designs / boards enablement, technical documentation and development support of future FPGA products. The role will have significant engagement with customers, Field Application Engineering, R&D, Marketing and Sales staff.
Accountabilities:
Enable customers by resolving device / IP / software issues, inclusive of debugging, simulations, customer education and close communications with stakeholders.
Create / debug or enhance customer demos and reference designs for Lattice devices and evaluation boards.
Develop or improve technical publications such as data sheets, user guides and application notes.
Evaluate and test new software releases.
Assist in product definition per customer requirements and needs.
Support engagements and presentations such as seminars, web cases and training programs.
Deliver device and tools training to FAEs, Distributor FAEs & customers.
Required Skills
Bachelors / Masters in Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering
Minimum 3 years of FPGA or microcontroller experience.
Knowledge of programming using C/C++, VHDL/Verilog or any related machine language.
Extensive experience in digital circuit simulation, and code/board level debugging.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams across multiple global sites.
Extensive experience with lab equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.
Strength in customer technical support mindset, processes, and best practices.
Experience in computing, consumer and mobile applications would be an added advantage. Embedded systems (microcontrollers, assembly code) experience, especially memory (RAM and FIFO memory), I/O control, PLL, ADC, PWM, and DSP is a plus.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting timing diagrams is a plus.
Experience with Linux OS is a plus.Benefits:
