Responsibilities:
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Manage the continuous operation of SQL Server, Google BigQuery, and Google Cloud SQL environments to minimize downtime and enhance performance
- Optimize and Innovate: Address and resolve performance issues through hardware upgrades, server configurations, and query optimization
- Empower Development: Provide crucial support to developers by optimizing queries and data modeling across SQL, SQL Warehouse, and NoSQL platforms
- Monitor and Maintain: Design and implement monitoring solutions and dashboards to maintain the health and efficiency of our databases
- Troubleshoot and Diagnose: Resolve complex issues in data pipelines, ETL jobs, and database replication to ensure system integrity
- Enhance Code Efficiency: Debug application code to optimize database queries and performance
- Master Data Handling: Develop a deep understanding of our data sources to support informed querying and decision-making
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Seasoned Professional: Minimum 5 years of experience as a SQL Developer
- Google Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud platform
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in the Retail domain and Marketing is a plus
- Project Management: Strong skills in managing scope and ensuring quality deliverables
