Based remotely on non-event days, the role of the Sponsorship Business Development Manager is to secure sponsorship revenue across our portfolio of events around the world and maximize the profitability of the events business.
We have a growing portfolio of Technology and B2B conferences, which are held globally, bring together industry leading figures for both forums, conferences and awards, in both a physical and virtual format.
The candidate is expected to source, pitch and forge relationships with clients so confidence and resilience is a must. This exciting role is a huge opportunity for the right candidate to really make their mark within a vibrant and fast-growing business environment.
Although based remotely, there is occasional travel required for some global events.
Main duties and responsibilities included but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the Event Director and the events team to contribute to the creation of quality, commercially successful event sponsorship models
- Secure event sponsorship income from existing clients and proactively identify new sponsorship sales opportunities with target companies
- Sole responsibility for allocated events with the ability to create strong relationships
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell sponsorship packages across the portfolio of events * Build and maintain strong external relationships with potential sponsors through telephone calls and securing business meetings
- With support, creating and preparing sponsorship packages for clients
- Match events and regions to clients needs and tailor the packages to suit their business need
- Share and get involved in the creation of sponsorship ideas in liaison with the Events Director to maximize sponsorship opportunities
- Ensure that all sponsorship leads are tracked through effective use of the CRM system
- Project manage new and existing relationships with sponsors to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous growth and development
- Represent the company at our events
Essential skills and qualifications

- Knowledge of Tech markets advantageous but not required
- Sales experience or the ability to demonstrate target achievement
