Location: AFC Kitchen Commissary, San Francisco Road (Halang), Binan City, Laguna (near Southwoods City/Southwoods Exit at SLEX).
- Job Overview: The Commissary Sous-Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the operations of the commissary kitchen. This role includes managing food preparation, ensuring food quality and consistency, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is a culinary professional with strong leadership skills, creativity, and a passion for creating new recipes.
Assist in the planning and execution of daily commissary kitchen operations.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Monitor food preparation and production to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency.- Maintain inventory and manage procurement of ingredients and supplies.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu development and recipe testing.
Manage portion control and minimize food waste.- Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning.
Assist in managing kitchen schedules and staffing needs.
Proven experience as a Sous-Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen for at least 3 years.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques.- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage inventory and control costs effectively.- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
