JOB OVERVIEW:The
Field Solutions Engineer is a pivotal role within our technical team, responsible for executing field installations, developing installation plans, designing training programs, and providing product technical support. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, customer service skills, and project management abilities to ensure the successful deployment and support of our products.
- I. Field Installation and Maintenance:
Conduct on-site installations, ensuring they meet company standards and customer requirements.- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to resolve any issues swiftly.
- II. Installation Planning:
Develop comprehensive installation plans that outline procedures, timelines, and resource requirements.- Coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth implementation.
- III. Training Program Design:
Design and develop training programs for customers and internal staff on product installation, operation, and maintenance.- Deliver training sessions and workshops, both on-site and virtually.
- IV. Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices and industry standards.
- V. Product Technical Support:
Provide expert technical support to customers, addressing queries and resolving issues related to product performance and functionality.
- Offer guidance and support to internal teams on technical matters.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions during the deployment of Starlink systems.
- VI. Documentation and Reporting:
Create detailed documentation of installation processes, training materials, and support guidelines.- Prepare reports on installation activities, training sessions, and support cases.
- VII. Continuous Improvement:
Gather feedback from customers and team members to identify areas for improvement in product deployment and support.- Collaborate with the product development team to suggest product enhancements or new features based on field experiences.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in Starlink installation processes.
- VIII. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to network engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on satellite communication systems such as Starlink.- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in designing and implementing network installation plans.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to address technical issues effectively.
Mentorship and leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to guide and support junior team members.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in network engineering.
- Proactive approach to staying informed about emerging technologies and trends in the field.
Proficiency with online communication tools (Slack, Viber, ClickUp, Google Workspace, etc.)- Demonstrable ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and execute them flawlessly.
