The Solution Engineer will be responsible for the design and overseeing the implementation of complex solutions that meet the business needs and technical requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise architecture, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. The candidate will collaborate closely with system analysts, developers, database teams, and business units to develop solutions to achieve strategic objectives.
- Review and define end-to-end architecture blueprints, components, interfaces, and integration points to ensure systems scalability, reliability, and performance.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications. Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.- Collaborate with system analysts, developers, engineers, and other IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technical designs and specifications.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and impact analysis to inform solution design decisions.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools that best meet the needs of the solution. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
Define and enforce architectural standards, coding guidelines, and best practices to ensure the quality, security, and maintainability of solutions. Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience (at least 5 years, preferably in retail or manufacturing) as a Solution Architect or similar role (e.g Solutions Engineer), with a track record of designing and delivering complex, enterprise-level solutions.
- Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling tools.- Strong technical skills across multiple domains, including ETL processing, cloud computing, microservices, APIs, relational databases, and security.
Proficiency in Microsoft MS SQL and implementation of SSIS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions.- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
