Brief overview of this role:

• We are looking for qualified Civil, Mechanical, Electrical (or similar) Engineers with 3+ years experience in the field, on construction sites or in other heavy industry environments who are looking to join a technology startup.
• We are looking for engineers from the industry who understand common document types, processes and best practices - covering anything from QA, to health and safety, to daily reporting, time sheeting, environmental and more!
• This role would be great for you if you are looking to stay connected to the industry, but want to have a much broader global impact with your work, as well as flexibility in terms of where you work from and how you work - instead of just working on one project or within one company, your work will be touching thousands of people from around the world.
• You will have opportunities such as engaging with all kinds of businesses from all around the world. You will be part of our Global Revenue team, and will be reporting to our Director - Go To Market Engineering, as well as interacting with product team members, Go To Market team members, and software engineering team members.

What is the working environment like at Sitemate

• We are very transparent - monthly Allhands meetings provide the team with direct insight into team updates, customer stories, hiring plans and key metrics (NPS, Revenue, Financial Performance). During this Allhands meeting we also hear one life story from one of our team each month - learning about different countries and cultures around the world.
• We place an extremely high value on your time - you won't be spending your days wasting time on fighting internal systems, botched together spreadsheet processes or doing data entry.
• We use best in class systems that are seamlessly integrated to deliver our team the right information at the right time, allowing them to get their work done efficiently and to a very high standard.
• You will have a core and close team around you, but you will also be exposed to and working directly with multiple departments - engineering, product, design, marketing, sales and customer success.
• You will have a high degree of autonomy, as the focus is on outcomes and not hours. If you want to block off a few hours to run a personal errand or block off an hour to pick up the kids from school - no worries. No one will be monitoring your time.
• We are constantly working to minimise the number of group meetings - daily check ins are all done asynchronously (in your own time) each morning. But spontaneous 1:1s or small sessions are strongly encouraged!

What does Sitemate do, exactly

• Sitemate builds best in class software products for the built world.
• Industrial companies operating in the built world are facing a number of mission critical challenges - changes in work behaviour as Generation Z start to enter the workforce as mobile first users of software, and the drastic shift away from traditional mining to renewable energy projects such as wind farms and solar farms.
• Our first product - Dashpivot, is a platform where industrial style companies streamline and standardise their processes in a new digital format. This new digital format enables them to complete and track work in the field on a mobile or tablet, and automate repetitive tasks and tracking through automated workflows and real-time analytics.

What will I be doing day to day in this role

• You will be building no-code products, using Sitemate's no-code software platforms, to digitise and optimise common forms and processes found in the office and on site within the built world. Such as the processes many companies establish as part of their ISO 9001 Quality Management System or ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
• You will be converting our new customers word, excel, pdf or paper forms, workflows and registers into Sitemate's digital no-code templates, utilising automation where appropriate.
• You will become an expert at using Sitemate's products and will apply our best practices when converting customer documents into templates or creating new co-code products.
• You will be building systems and processes tailored for various verticals and roles within the built world, which will be used to support free trials, sales demonstrations, customer success onboarding flows and marketing.
• You will be maintaining our Template Library to ensure our available templates keep pace with new feature or platform releases, changing industry standards or legislation, and to help us expand into new verticals and regions.

What will be the biggest challenges for me in this role

• The range of documents and processes that can be built on Sitemate's platforms is immense and continues to grow as new features are released. These documents fall across a range of business functions, such as Quality, Safety, Environmental, Contracts, Procurement, Production, Financial, HR and becoming familiar with each may be difficult without prior industry experience.
• If you've been used to working within single companies or single projects, this role will give you a much broader perspective on the variance of processes within the industry.
• We have a strong culture based on core values and standard operating procedures, you may need to unlearn a few things from previous experience.
