HIRING: Software Technical Writer
The overall goal of a
Documentation Technical Writer is to consolidate, maintain and improve our documentation deliverables, mainly through our Customer Help Center portal. The ultimate objective is to participate in making our Solutions easy to use by offering comprehensive and user friendly self service help that will enable end users independence while increasing their satisfaction.
The Documentation writer will be exposed to key IT software functionalities so he/she would need to be IT-friendly while keeping the End User in mind when creating content or testing functionalities.
This will also require a natural collaborative mindset to be able to work closely with the Developers and the Solutions Architects and should be comfortable in a fast changing environment which in return will provide exciting perspectives in terms of career development.
- Roles and responsibilities:
The Documentation writer will be mainly accountable for the below items/tasks (among other relevant responsibilities):
- Understand our solution functionally and technically then write and edit documentation content. Ensure all content is relevant, consistent and optimized for end-users.
Participate in the content creation, publishing and strategy of our documentation, training and online help, including new functionality videos.
- Continuously provide feedback on the end-user experience of our solutions back to the development team.
Participate in the update of the Learning Management System for each release, including producing video content.- Keep up-to-date with best practice in the field of work and follow any trend that could improve the deliverables.
Participate in ad-hoc projects related to Documentation, such as translation update, improvement of the Help center portal, etc.
At least 2 years of technical writer experience
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in English, Communications or Journalism or Information Technology however candidates passionate in writing in English are welcome to apply.
English written/verbal communication skills is key- Creative and passionate communicator
Understanding of Human Resources processes is important, good knowledge HR business processes such a Recruiting, Payroll Administration would be a big plus
- Experience with different tools such Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects) or any photo/video editing or content creation tool will be a plus
Experience in Search Engine Optimization / Website traffic analyser (Google Analytics) is a plus- Exposure to Cloud Solution/Web application documentation work, SAP Human Resources software and Proficiency in German, French, or Spanish will be a big pluS
