The Role:

You will have the opportunity to join one of the worlds most dynamic cleantech software teams, doing what you do best. The role is focused on designing and building the best solutions for our users in over 130 countries, whilst maintaining best practices in software development.

This role is a remote role and will primarily operate in the UK timezone.

OpenSolars global software team is growing significantly. We have a new opportunity for a QA Specialist to join our software team. This role will be focused on creating test plans and scripts, executing test scripts and documenting test results - contributing to the creation of a high quality fit for purpose software product.

What youll be doing:

• Working closely with the product and software teams to define suitable testing strategies.
• Creation, maintenance, optimization and execution of manual test scripts.
• Deliver test scripts execution to testing standards during the software release process.
• Produce QA status reports and participate in the defect management process.
• Design and deliver test automation and performance testing.
• Identify any potential issues that users might encounter - identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout the testing process.
• Assist in the creation and estimation of user stories ensuring they are testable.
• Testing on a variety of platforms including the latest browsers and mobile devices.

What youll need:

• 3+ years experience in a functional testing specific role.
• Extensive experience with QA methodologies and manual software testing.
• Strong background in creating, maintaining, and executing automated scripts using known test automation frameworks. i.e. Cypress, typescript, python, javascript are recommended.
• Strong background in QA processes, the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and manage and prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency.
• Flexibility in work schedule to support the software release timetable.
• Ability to work during EU/UK Timezone
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data and provide solutions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast paced environment.
