Job Summary
A ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our customers and business objectives. This role involves working closely with a team of engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
A ServiceNow Developer is expected to:
- Development and Configuration: Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, Request, and Knowledge Management.
- Customization: Create custom scripts and applications to meet specific business requirements. Implement UI policies, data policies, client scripts, business rules, and workflow customizations.
- Integration: Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems and third-party applications using APIs, web services, and other integration methods.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure functionality and scalability. Adhere to best practices for code quality and documentation.
- User Support and Training: Provide support to end-users, handle troubleshooting issues, and conduct user training sessions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, customizations, and processes.
Optional SPM/ITOM Responsibilities/Capabilities
- SPM Development (Service Portfolio Management): Develop and manage service catalogs, portfolios, and financial management modules within ServiceNow.
- ITOM Development (IT Operations Management): Configure and manage ITOM suites like Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Management, and Operational Intelligence.
- Automation and Orchestration: Design and implement automated workflows to optimize IT operations and service delivery.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize Performance Analytics to develop dashboards and reports for tracking IT operations and service performance.
- Integration: Integrate ITOM or SPM modules with other IT systems and software tools.
- SPM Development (Service Portfolio Management)
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Candidate must have strong English communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Certified ServiceNow Administrator and/or ServiceNow Application Developer.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in ServiceNow development.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM or SPM development.
- ServiceNow ITOM or SPM certifications are preferred. But non-certified are welcome to apply.
- Proven ability to work well in a team.
