Job Description

Our client within the financial sector is seeking a talented Software Engineer with expertise in Java and Scala.
Mandatory Skill-set
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Java and Scala;
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming;
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services;
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB);
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git);
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skill-set
  • Has working experience within the financial sector.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Scala;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
  • Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code;
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications;
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs;
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation;
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement;
