ALPS Technologies Inc. is seeking a talented Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs. As a software developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration between our service desk and an external system.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor API usage to identify trends and anticipate customer needs- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality.
Analyze current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting, and design solutions to problematic programming.
- Create and maintain API client libraries to provide an easy-to-use interface for third-party developers
Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure API quality and reliability.- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver APIs that meet business needs.
Prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related courses
- Willing to work full onsite
1-2 years of experience in API development and integration- Expert knowledge of technologies such as RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth2, HTTP, SSL/TLS, Webhooks, and API authentication
Familiarity with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
- Knowledge of web services technologies including SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI
Experience with middleware applications, preferably Boomi- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, Java, etc.) and Database Technologies (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, etc. ) commonly used for API development
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to details
Excellent communication and collaboration skills- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
