About the role
We are looking for a talented Software Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, high-performance systems and integrating them with third-party and cloud services while ensuring adherence to best engineering practices. This role involves collaborating closely with development teams, providing technical leadership, and documenting key architectural decisions.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers, conduct software demonstrations, and work in partnership with global teams to deliver high-quality solutions utilizing modern DevOps practices, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies. Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and define the architecture of complex systems, ensuring scalability and high performance.
- Develop technical solutions that facilitate integration with third-party systems.
- Champion continuous improvement in engineering processes and practices, promoting the adoption of standards and best practices.
- Integrate systems with cloud services, ensuring security, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure implementations adhere to architectural guidelines.
- Document architectures and technical decisions to facilitate understanding and maintenance of solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership by participating in code reviews and assisting in the resolution of complex issues.
- Lead and support a team of software development engineers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Software Architect with a proven track record of successfully delivered projects.
- At least 8+ years of experience in developing solutions using Java or the .NET framework.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes.
- Strong experience in architectural design for distributed systems and microservices.
- Familiarity with agile development practices, particularly Scrum.
- Experience with databases and data management.
- Knowledge of test automation and best practices in software testing.
- Ability to conduct software architecture reviews effectively.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with cloud services, preferably Azure.
Soft Skills:
- Proven experience in leading software development teams.
- Proficient in English for effective communication with key stakeholders on the global team.
- Demonstrated autonomy and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to drive software demo sessions with customers confidently.
Nice to Have
- Certifications in architecture and cloud technologies.
- Candidates with experience working at Japanese IT companies or engaging with Japanese clients and customers.
