Social Service Clerk assists and provides non-medical support to patients and their families, guides patients through insurance and financial situations, offers counseling and grief support.
A. Patient's Social Investigation, Assessment, and Evaluation
- Conduct initial screening and evaluation of patients and families to determine their capacity to pay their bills.
Recommend patients qualified to avail financial assistance from various Government or Non-Government Agencies.- Recommend patients qualified for application of promissory notes upon discharge.
B. Process Application for Financial Assistance to various Agencies
- Coordinate with the officers of various agencies who extend assistance to the patients.
Assist patients and relatives in processing application for financial assistance from Philippine Charity Sweepstakes, Office of the Vice President, Department of Social Welfare and Development and other related Government and Non-Government Agencies.
- Ensure completeness of required documents for filing of financial assistance application to various social welfare agencies.
Follow-up financial assistance from various agencies.
C. Monitor Boarder and Problematic Patients
- Update daily the patients with more than P30,
- 00 running balance of bills.
Request for partial payment from the patients and relatives with more than P30,000 billings.
- Ensure decrease in boarder and problematic patients.
Provide counseling to boarder and problematic patients for billing settlements.
D. Prepare the following reports
- Boarder and Problematic patients-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually.
Patients referred to PCSO In-Patient versus Discharged Patients-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi annually and annually.
- Patients referred to PCSO-Out Patient- weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually.
Percentage of Paid PCSO GL versus received GL both for IN Patient and OPD - monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually.
E. Other related functions
- Process documents for accreditation to PCSO and other social welfare agencies
Assist in monitoring the admission and incidence of promissory notes.
- Complies to 5S, Internal quality and customer care standards, policies and procedures.
Practice the CORE Values of the hospital.
Qualifications:
- Degree holder in Social Work
With updated License
- With 1 to 2 yrs. experience in Hospital or Medical facility
Must be adept in using any Hospital System / Business Tools- Must have excellent Customer Service Skills and have high sense of urgency and accuracy
Can reliably commute going to ARCA South Taguig City
- Preferably can start ASAP
