POSITION OVERVIEW:The Skip Tracing Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of skip tracers in locating individuals who have defaulted on payments or have otherwise become untraceable. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, developing strategies for effective skip tracing, and ensuring the team meets performance and compliance standards.
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of skip tracers, providing guidance and support.- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Facilitate training and development programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Develop and implement effective skip tracing strategies and processes.
- Monitor daily activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Analyze team performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Oversee the accurate and timely entry of skip tracing data into the company's systems.- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all information and documentation.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure that skip tracing practices comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.- Review and audit skip tracing processes to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, skip tracing results, and operational issues.- Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize team performance.
Work closely with other departments (e.g., Collections, Legal, Customer Service) to coordinate efforts and resolve complex cases.- Engage with external partners or vendors as needed to support skip tracing efforts.
Address and resolve escalated issues or complex cases that require advanced skip tracing techniques.- Develop innovative solutions to overcome challenges in locating individuals.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in skip tracing, collections, or a similar field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in skip tracing tools, databases, and software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory guidelines.
