Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Are you a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) passionate about ensuring the stability and performance of critical applications Join our team to work with a top-tier banking institution and play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our production systems.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics, or a related field;
• Understanding of core SRE concepts (SLI, SLA, Error budgets) and experience implementing SRE models;
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration, Tomcat application administration, and PowerShell scripting and automation;
• Experience with monitoring and observability implementations on the Windows stack and knowledge of networking concepts and Windows networking;
• Knowledge of RDBMS concepts and performance management (Oracle/MS SQL) and Azure pipelines;
• Self-driven, committed, reliable team player with a passion for learning new technologies. Ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively manage tasks.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience applying SRE concepts to front office banking processes (e.g., credit approval, monitoring);
• Experience with Python scripting and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a range of monitoring tools to oversee the performance of our production systems;
• Identify and resolve software bugs, misconfigurations, and performance bottlenecks, coordinating the implementation of fixes;
• Conduct regular technical health assessments on production infrastructure and systems;
• Actively monitor SLAs, ensuring services perform within agreed parameters;
• Architect, create, and manage automated processes across infrastructure and applications;
• Coordinate incident management and service restoration efforts;
• Oversee Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP);
• Gather and analyze data to provide accurate reports on availability, reliability, performance, and capacity.
