JOB DESCRIPTION - SITE ENGINEER - (MARVEL RESORTS PVT. LTD)
Role Overview
The Site Engineer will oversee and manage the technical aspects of the construction of a hotel project, ensuring compliance with design, specifications, safety standards, and timelines. The role involves liaising with contractors, consultants, and project teams to deliver high-quality work efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution:
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure project timelines, quality, and safety are maintained.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and ensure adherence on-site.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to align with project plans and specifications.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and codes.
- Conduct inspections and testing at various stages of construction.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to avoid delays.
Site Management
- Maintain accurate site records, including work progress, material consumption, and site reports.
- Manage and supervise site workers and subcontractors.
- Ensure that the site complies with safety regulations and that workers follow safety protocols.
Coordination
- Act as a liaison between the project manager, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Provide technical advice and support to on-site teams.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
- Highlight potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Document changes or deviations from the original design.
Qualifications And Skills
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in hospitality or high-end construction projects.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other construction-related software.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations.
- Experience in MEP coordination and interior finishing will be an advantage.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Work Conditions
- Full-time, on-site position.
- May require extended hours to meet project deadlines.
- Exposure to construction site conditions, including dust, noise, and varying weather.
