GENERAL JOB DEFINITION:The showroom cashier is responsible for processing cash or credit card transactions of customers and assisting customer complaints in relation to customer transactions and purchases.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Prepares loose change at the beginning of the shift
- Checks and turns on the queuing system of the showroom
- Responsible for processing payment of all customer purchases
- Ensures customer purchases are properly tagged with delivery, carry, or pick up
- Checks condition of bank terminals and reports any discrepancies to the concerned bank.
- Generates withdrawal slips at the end of the shift and reconciles actual money withdrawn from the cash drawer.
- Issues credit card memos for all item returns from customers.
- Reprints Sales Invoices for scheduling purposes and stock requisition for the delivery coordinator.
- Remits Sales Reading Reports to the Store Manager.
- Turn-overs cash and Sales Reading Report to the Showroom Manager.
- Turn-over the Sales Reading Report to the Finance Manager at the end of the shift.
- Must be updated with showroom policies, current sales, promotions, price and discounting guidelines
