Job Overview:As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing our Shopify e-commerce website to improve its search engine rankings and drive organic traffic. You will work on on-page optimization, keyword research, content strategy, technical SEO, conversion rate optimization, and enhancing user experience.
Optimize website content, meta titles, descriptions, and headers.- Ensure mobile-friendliness and fast loading speeds of the website.
Implement and manage schema markup to enhance search results.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify and fix technical SEO issues.
Create and optimize product descriptions and category pages for SEO.
Perform keyword research to identify high-value keywords for products, categories, and content.- Analyze competitors keywords and strategies to identify opportunities.
Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to track keyword performance.
Develop and implement a content strategy aligned with SEO goals and business objectives.
- Create and manage a blog or other content areas to drive traffic and improve SEO.
Collaborate with content creators to apply SEO best practices.
Ensure proper indexing and crawling of the website by search engines.- Fix issues related to website structure, such as broken links, duplicate content, and crawl errors.
Implement and manage redirects as necessary.
- Optimize site architecture and internal linking for improved SEO performance.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
Analyze user behavior to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates.
- Implement and test changes to website design and content to enhance user experience and drive sales.
- User Experience (UX) Enhancement:
Ensure the website provides a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Improve site navigation, layout, and functionality to retain visitors and reduce bounce rates.
Monitor and analyze competitor websites to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
- Use insights from competitor analysis to inform SEO strategies and tactics.
- Product Page Optimization:
Optimize individual product pages, including images, descriptions, and metadata.
- Implement best practices for product page SEO to enhance visibility and drive traffic.
Optimize category pages and product listings for e-commerce search engines and algorithms.
- Implement strategies to enhance product visibility, such as structured data for reviews and pricing.
- A/B Testing and Optimization:
Conduct A/B testing on various elements of the website to determine what drives better performance.
- Analyze results and adjust strategies accordingly.
Set up and manage SEO tools and plugins for Shopify.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SEO tools and integrations.
Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role, preferably with e-commerce websites.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, including on-page and technical SEO.
Experience with Shopify and familiarity with SEO tools and plugins.- Proficiency in keyword research and analysis tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
Understanding of conversion rate optimization and user experience principles.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
