Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statements and the core values of the company.
Performs diagnosis on vehicle malfunction or service requirements; provides results or findings to Service Advisor to serve as basis for discussion with the customer on the scope of services required.
Undertakes provision of technical services related to automotive repairs and maintenance within the workshop consisting of but not limited to:
a. Under chassis and suspension system.
b. Cleaning and fine-tuning of air-conditioning units (air-condition system).
c. General engine repairs.
d. Wheel Balancing, Tire Mounting & Alignment.
e. Cooling system repairs
f. Brake system repairs.
g. Electrical system and electronics repairs
h. Engine and transmission (Manual & Automatic) overhauling.
i. PMS (oil change).
Conducts outside service (case to case basis) on the preceding services as practicable.
Familiarization in using IDS-Integrated Diagnostic System.
Picks up needed parts from the parts department, in the process checking on quantity and quality specifications in conformity with instructions provided by the Service Advisor as reflected in the parts requisition and issuance slips.
Undertakes road testing and diagnosis to validate accuracy of service rendered or to check out problems that may not have been completely addressed.
Fills out job orders to indicate work completed or finished on vehicles submitted for servicing. Responsible in the accuracy of the diagnosis report and the correction done.
Engages in constant feedback sharing with the Service Advisor / Service Head on the following matters:
a. Problems and concerns met in the course of work performance.
b. Opportunities to cross sell and undertake merchandising activities related to the vehicles being repaired.
c. Services performed and completed on the automotive units for them to be able to consequently discuss these with the customers.
Provides corrective measures on minor defects noted on vehicle deliveries from the production of dealer distributor; relays feedback on major deviations noted to generate corrective action by the production plant.
Attends trainings and workshops for skills enhancement.
Understands the importance of Quality Care Process.
Takes full responsibility of the tools and caddy issued.
Undertakes mentoring and on-the-job training for technical trainees.
Commit to improve technical skills (primary and secondary skills) leveling.
Maintains the cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the assigned area following 5S principles; acts as custodian and accountable officer for tools assigned and ensures that they are properly maintained, arranged and secured.
Performs other duties and responsibilities germane to the position and other tasks that may be assigned by the superiors
