The Service Crew plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency within a food business. They are responsible for various tasks that contribute to a positive dining experience for customers.
Customer Service:- Greet customers warmly and assist them in a friendly and professional manner.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, using POS systems where applicable.- Provide recommendations or suggestions on menu items based on customer preferences.
Food Preparation and Serving:- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure food presentation is appealing and up to company standards.- Handle food items with care to maintain quality and safety standards.
Maintaining Cleanliness:- Keep dining areas, counters, and workspaces clean and sanitized at all times.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all service areas.- Dispose of trash and maintain waste receptacles appropriately.
Teamwork and Collaboration:- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations.- Support other team members as needed to ensure a positive working environment.
Compliance and Safety:- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling procedures.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding attendance, conduct, and uniform guidelines.- Report any customer complaints or operational issues promptly to management.
- Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a courteous demeanor.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
