Senior Virtualization Engineer

As a Senior Virtualization Engineer with a focus on VMware and Nutanix AHD (Acropolis Hypervisor and Data Services), you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our virtualized infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our VMware and Nutanix environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHD environments to meet business requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Implement and maintain virtualization best practices, including resource optimization, high availability, and disaster recovery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement virtualized solutions for new projects and initiatives.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to virtualization performance, capacity, and connectivity.

• Monitor system health and performance, proactively identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.

Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in virtualization, providing recommendations for innovation and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of experience in virtualization engineering, with a focus on VMware and Nutanix AHD.

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certifications preferred.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
