Our Senior Bookkeeper role is critical to business growth, culture, and operations. The client aims to provide a customized solution for the financial and taxation needs of their customers and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strong English communication skills, and a deep proficiency in financial software systems, particularly QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online. A CPA qualification is highly preferred, and a solid background in US accounting is essential for this role.

The Senior Bookkeeper will work across the business to carry out the following responsibilities:
1. Technical Expertise:
- Utilize Quickbooks Desktop and/or Online accounting software to manage financial transactions, reporting, and analysis.
- Demonstrate proficiency in software tools such as Paychex, Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Dropbox, and Pro Series for enhanced financial management.
2. Financial Operations:
- Oversee data entry and coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage accounts receivable, customer invoicing, credit control, collections, and dispute resolution effectively.
- Handle accounts payable, purchase order management, and inventory and stock accounting.
3. Payroll and Taxation:
- Oversee the processing of payroll for a defined number of employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
- Oversee the preparation of payment files, payroll filings, tax filings, and other statutory requirements with the IRS.
- Oversee the management ofpayroll-related activities, including reconciliations and vendor account reconciliations.
4. Reporting and Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation of P&L reports and month-end closing tasks.
- Monitor the conduct of profit and loss analysis, KPI reporting, and cash flow reporting to provide insights for decision-making.
- Manage the monitoring of consolidated financial reports and perform budget vs. actuals analysis.
5. Accounting and Reconciliation:
- Oversee the bank reconciliations and reconcile payment gateways/merchant accounts.
- Help ensure accuracy through vendor and customer account reconciliations and inter-company accounting.
6. Quality Assurance and Reporting:
- Oversee the accuracy checks and sampling procedures to maintain data integrity and reliability.
- Monitor the journal entry testing to verify financial transactions and entries.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders by fostering open and transparent communication.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and internal teams, ensuring a clear understanding of both parties expectations and requirements.
The Senior Bookkeeper role requires:
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online accounting software.
- Preferred qualification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
- Strong background in US accounting practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with Paychex, Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Dropbox, and Pro Series.
- Technical expertise in data entry, coding, and various financial operations.
- Extensive knowledge of accounts receivable, payable, credit control, collections, and dispute resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing, tax filings, and statutory requirements.
- Expertise in reconciliations, fixed asset management, and financial reporting.
- Solid analytical skills for profit and loss analysis, KPI reporting, and cash flow management.
- Ability to generate consolidated financial reports and perform budget vs. actuals analysis.
- Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to maintaining data integrity.
- Open to feedback, trainings, and collaborative working environment.
- Willing to work on a night shift.
- Can start immediately or as soon as possible.
