What the day will look like
Participate in projects as a SME for allocated platforms across the APAC region.
Prepare and review testing documentation, particularly test scripts adhering to company best practice testing processes.
Perform application support role for allocated systems to help ensure allocated systems meet agreed Service Level Agreements
Undertake specialised and general testing as required, including external stakeholders (Insurer testing)
Identify and document platform defects in JIRA.
Liaise with business stakeholders, developers and other technical teams to gather, analyse and document end user requirements. Involvement in developing functional specifications that design and document the desired outcome of system modifications.
Analysis on business initiatives and whether the requirements fit core platforms.
Keep Business Systems, IT, Product Managers and key stakeholders aware of potential areas for product enhancement.
Responsible for continuous development and self-improvement around application knowledge and business processes
Continuous improvement mind-set and close collaboration requirement inter and intra team.
Participate as a member of a distributed team across Asia, Pacific and Europe
Participate in the deployment when new products are enhanced or added.
Governance & Delivery
Comply with the APAC and Global PMO processes and security standards as directed.
Work with GSS on any penetration testing.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
Experience of working in an Insurance Industry (desirable)
Experience of working on risk and risk related problems with different client segments (desirable)
Recent Experience/exposure in REST services
Recent experience deploying to Azure is desirable.
Excellent abstract problem solving and vision.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
Excellent in understanding the need for a good user experience and business needs.
Innovative thinking
Good communication both written and oral English across multiple constituencies.
Empathy
Excellent team player
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology.
10+ years demonstrated IT experience
5+ years Integration experience including messaging and event notifications
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (Microsoft VBA)
Experience in Postman and REST/SOAP API
Experience in debugging common HTML error codes
Database scripting experience (MS SQL, ORACLE PL/SQL)
Knowledge with Power BI
Evidence of being a successful influencer across different teams and cultures.
