Senior Team Lead - Legal Entity Controllership
Job Description
The LGS Senior Team Lead is principally centered around aiding and executing the financial close process for their respective legal entities. The accountabilities of this position include overseeing the day-to-day transactional activities related to the financial close process. Moreover, this role acts as a critical support system to the LGS Sr manager with an emphasis on communication with the broader finance team regarding necessary close items.
In the context of local audits, the LGS Senior Team Lead plays a key role in ensuring that audits are on track by tracking progress, coordinating with various teams to address audit queries, and any other action that may be required. Additionally, the role will also support the implementation and maintenance of requisite financial policies, risk control procedures, standard operating procedures, and internal control measures, under the guidance of the LGS Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities
What You Will Do
LGS Support
- Lead statutory audits and ensure timely completion and submission of financial statements.
- Review statutory financial statements in line with local accounting standards.
- Raise significant discrepancies against US GAAP reporting.
- Assemble and support the facilitation of all necessary components of the LE financial statements, which includes items such as the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Support on submission of Tax filings in adherence to the required timeframe.
- Develop internal reporting packages and other necessary financial reporting documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide necessary support on audit requests related to legal entities.
- Ensure Quality and Timely execution of close activities and work in unison with Finance operations teams to ensure thorough completion of both sub-ledger and general ledger closures.
- Manage and execute meaningful financial reviews for areas in scope.
- Responsible for the preparation of legal entity actuals variance analysis to track and explain any fluctuation in financial numbers.
- Collaborate and partner with key stakeholders including other Finance Operations teams, BU, BUF, Tax, external (PWC, EY, DT, etc.).
- Regular and timely update to immediate manager particularly on issues impacting the team, close process, and key stakeholders.
- Escalate any issues or potential complications concerning complex accounting matters to the attention of the Legal Entity Controller for prompt and effective resolution.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, WWP, key controls, DTP.
Other
- Take charge of completing any remaining or stranded transactional activities that relate to LGS, ensuring no tasks are left unattended.
- Manage LGS processes in scope and ensure compliance with targets and KPIs.
- Participate in country/regional/global activities as assigned
- Other tasks as assigned.
Stakeholder Interaction
- LE Controllership:
- The LGS Senior Team Lead will closely support the LGS Senior Manager on all matters pertaining to entity financials and other local filings, audit requests, etc.
- Finance Operations teams:
- The LGS Senior Team Lead will support the Finance Operations sub-teams with transactional financial close-related activities and resolving any audit-related matters.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required in Finance / Accounting.
- Strong auditing background and/or strong foundation on technical financial accounting standards
- Fluent in English, other languages desired.
- Experience in SAP, Excel, and other Microsoft tools.
- At least 7 years of experience in Accounting/Auditing, leadership, problem-solving, process improvement, and communication.
- At least 2-3 years of Management / Supervisory experience is required.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, matrix-style environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to execute and follow through on key tasks and ensure key documentation requirements are met.
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or related professional certification preferred.
