Role Overview
The Senior Structural Engineer will oversee and manage all structural aspects of complex construction projects, ensuring successful project execution from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural design and construction supervision, strong project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams to deliver outstanding results
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITES & ACTIVITES
- Lead and manage consultants with the designs of complex construction projects.
- Review and assess structural designs, structural reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Implement detailed project plans, monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and develop solutions to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Ensure all structural work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to uphold high standards of work.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineers, to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and inspections to provide on-site structural support and address any issues that arise.
- Stay current with advancements in structural engineering and apply new knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on complex construction projects including elevated structures and long-span bridges.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering structural components of large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software and tools (e.g., SOFiSTiK, MIDAS, ETABS, etc.).
QULAIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred).
