Qualifications
A BS in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Architecture
Extensive experience or knowledge in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, Project Management or equivalent
Preferably more than 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying
Good ability in all the following areas: Estimates, Quantity Take-off, Cost Engineering, Cost Analysis, Contract, Packaging and Procurement Planning, Bidding/ Procurement, Contract Documentation, QC Post-contract works
The ability to manage time to meet strict project deadlines
Drive and can motivate other members of the team
Duties and Responsibilities
Professional liaison with all internal and external customers and stakeholders
Provide commercially pragmatic and technically accurate quantity surveying and cost planning services, and cost management advice to our clients
Develop and maintain existing Client relationships
Resource planning
Demonstrate leadership and provide direction to less experienced staff
Ensure the efficient and organized working of QS staff
Encourage staff suggestions and feedback on current practice
Maintain professional expertise and continue professional development
Develop and maintain technical proficiency with applications and equipment used
Develop and implement operation processes which ensure a high level of efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure the implementation of client policies
Initiate and encourage the development of client policies and practice
