About the Team:As a Senior QA Automation Engineer in one of our Product & Technology teams based in New Zealand, you will be a crucial member working alongside your peers, building modern test automation frameworks and help shifting quality to the left by promoting test-first practices within a continuous delivery environment.

You will be reporting to the Head of Quality and Delivery in New Zealand. This is a hands-on role; you'll be expected to be actively doing test automation. You will also from time to time help run manual tests when required and get involved in the planning and refinement of work.
- Key duties and responsibilities
Lead the continuous improvement of how we use test automation in our products and platforms.
- Focus on speeding up various feedback loops that make it safe, fast and easy for our squads to deliver change to production.
Help build quality in from the beginning of the product development flow and support the team reach those goals.- Do not shy away from analysis of the system and doing manual regression.
Able to work with Product and Business to be able to prioritize the key flows and help organize the approach to Manual and Automated Regression.
- Work with the Team to understand the requirements during the Refinement process, and identify and document the test cases early.
Work with other Quality Engineers to best determine the test automation approach.- Develop an automation framework and write tests at various levels - preferably Playwright/Typescript, but any programming language will be ok.
Guide the developers to writing automation tests themselves.
- Run workshops and training on the topics of test automation.
Help promote a shift-left organizational culture by enabling and promoting test-first practices (BDD), quality, and security early and often in the CI/CD flow (DevSecOps).

- Building modern automation frameworks, both for UI and API in at least one programming language - preferably BDD/Playwright/Typescript/C#, but any programming language will be ok.
Working, leading, and delivering value in an organization undergoing high levels of growth.
ISTQB Certification or equivalent.- Experience in IT in a Financial Services organization.
