We are looking for Senior Project Manager, Responsible for leading and managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are successfully delivered on time, within scope and within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role demands strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously with stakeholders across various levels and functions, both internal and external and cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
Roles And Responsibilities:
Project planning and strategy:
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines and budgets based on business requirements
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, milestones and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
- Identify resource needs and work with department owners to allocate personnel
- Managing resources for delivery, including monitoring tasks assigned to team members and ensuring that the project stays on track
Leadership and team management:
- Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction and support to ensure project success
- Manage team dynamics, resolve conflicts and motivate the team to meet project deadlines
- Conduct regular status meetings with team members and stakeholders to keep everyone aligned
Risk management and problem solving:
- Identify and manage potential risks to the project, including developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to mitigate potential issues and implementing risk management plans;
- Proactively address project issues and challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion
Budget and financial management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial goals
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis to ensure the project delivers value for the business
- Manage vendor relationships, including contracts, budgets and deliverables
Stakeholder communication and reporting:
- Serve as the primary contact for project stakeholders, including team members, clients, and other stakeholders, to ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle;
- Provide regular project updates, reports and presentations to stakeholders and executive leadership
- Manage expectations and ensure that stakeholders are informed of any changes to the project scope or timeline. Working with clients or other stakeholders to meet their needs and expectations
Quality assurance and project delivery
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements
- Oversee the testing and validation of project outputs before final delivery
- Ensure that all project objectives are met and that projects are delivered on time and within budget
Continuous improvement:
- Evaluate completed projects to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
- Implement best practices in project management and promote continuous improvement across teams
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members on project management practices.
The ideal candidate:
- Constantly looks to identify impediments early, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escalates when needed;
- Helps manage and track all high-integrity commitments, coordinating delivery across teams/dependencies;
- Provides proactive visibility and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments and progress;
- Works to minimize meetings and ceremonies, but when they are needed, helps ensure they are well-run and efficient;
- Buys into fostering a culture of team-wide trust/psychological safety, ownership, decisiveness, and commitment;

Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience (product, IT/ service company), start up experience is a plus
- 7-10 years of project management experience, with a focus on medium to large in scale and medium complexity projects (:3-6 / 6-12 months length)
Education:
- College degree. Plus (but not mandatory) if in Business, Engineering, IT or a related field (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred)
Knowledge:
- Good understanding of how enterprise fintech solutions are designed, built, tested, deployed and into the hands of customers
- Good understanding of delivery and go-to-market methods and metrics
- General understanding of consumer financial services
- General understanding of the role of product managers, product designers, engineers, quality assurance, devops and product marketers
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in project management methodologies/ principles (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Financial management and budgeting experience.
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Asna, Jira, etc.)
