Role Overview

The Construction Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves managing a team of construction professionals, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of construction projects.
  • Manage a team of construction professionals, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the quality of workmanship and materials on all projects.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Oversee the handover of completed projects to clients.
  • Implement and manage change orders.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Continually review and improve construction processes and procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the construction industry.
