The Senior Product Manager for Mobile App is responsible for driving innovation and growth of PETNET's mobile application to deliver a seamless, secure, and user-friendly experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Product Development: Identifying customer needs, conducting market research, ideating, testing, rolling out, and enhancing the mobile app and related e-Wallet products.
- Collaboration: Working with the Digital Business Team, IT, Operations, marketing consultants, e-wallet partners, and vendors to deliver financial solutions that address emerging market needs.
- Strategy and Planning: Leading the development of product strategies, roadmaps, and project plans to ensure timely execution, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
- Agile Leadership: Serving as the Product Owner, promoting Agile/Scrum practices, and managing Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Key Results Areas: Achieving product profitability, fast time-to-market, customer engagement, utilization, and satisfaction.
The role is central to transforming the PERA HUB Mobile App into a household brand that enhances customer lives in a fast, convenient, and secure manner.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
Research / Business Intelligence / Data Analytics
- Conducts or oversees market research activities related to the product
- Provide Management with Market Intelligence data/report related to the product
- Develop/Coordinates the development of Product Analytics framework and tools to generate regular product-performance data
- Monitor, review, report and improve product performance
Product Management Life Cycle
- Coordinates and oversees the product ideation process, from idea generation to idea curation, and ensures that actionable ideas are assessed, prioritized and implemented.
- Translate ideas into Proof of Concept (e.g. Lengster Matrix)
- Conduct Design Sprints / Design Thinking sessions
- Works with Management, and other key contributors in formulating sound Product Strategy that clearly defines the product's segmentation, value proposition, positioning and penetration, stakeholders, business case, and financial projections.
- Manage the execution of product strategy through Product Roadmaps.
- Communicate the Product Strategy and Roadmap to all stakeholders using a sound Communication Plan and framework
- Manage product profitability
- Recommend product pricing strategies and pricing models
- Develop a deep understanding of user needs, pain points, and behaviors through user research, usability testing, and data analysis, translating insights into intuitive and engaging mobile app features.
Product Rollout Management
- Create Project Plans to effectively manage the launch or relaunch new products or enhancements to existing products.
- Coordinates with various stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of agreed deliverables and timetables (Product Backlog Items and Sprint Backlog Items).
- Serves as the over-all Product Owner/Project Manager of the Project NEO. Facilitates team meetings and coordinates team activities.
- Facilitate the resolution of identified risks, issues and impediments that affect implementation of product strategy and project plans.
- Provide relevant updates to Management and stakeholders about the status of deliverables.
Product Promotion
- Formulates the promotional concepts based on Product Strategy
- Coordinates with Marketing to produce promotional materials for the product.
- Oversee the implementation of product promotion. Serves as the primary Product Evangelist, Champion or Advocate internally and externally.
Stakeholder Management
- Identify stakeholders, analyze their requirements, and monitor/review how such requirements are fulfilled. Escalate issues to Management.
- Develops and maintains a productive relationship with product stakeholders and business partners.
- Provides or facilitates the provision of necessary support to the product sales team.
- Works with HR and other departments in the delivery of product training.
- Coordinates the engagement with Product consultants and ensures that their ideas and inputs are converted into action plans and their deliverables are monitored and reported.
People Development
- Builds the capabilities of the Digital Business - Mobile App Unit by proactively managing the performance and competency development of each team member;
- Implements Performance Management of team members from performance, planning, monitoring, evaluation, and improvement to ensure career progression;
- Ensures that each team member has an Individual Development Plan to facilitate competency growth;
- Clarifies the roles, responsibilities and KPIs of each team member are understood to ensure achievement of targets; reviews and initiates modification as business requires;
- Trains and mentors team members in the execution of their duties, ensuring constant improvement in their professional skills, and preparing them for succession planning;
- Motivates, inspires and disciplines, when needed, team members to maximize their potentials and capabilities; and
- Create an atmosphere of respect, trust and accountability among team members to facilitate analytical, problem-solving and innovative thinking.
- Perform tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Specifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience 10 years in product management, product development, or a related role, preferably in the mobile application development and payments space.
- Strong understanding of mobile application development, user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles, and mobile technology trends;
- Experience in developing and launching successful mobile applications, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Proficiency with mobile application development frameworks, technologies, and tools (e.g., iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, etc.).
- Knowledge of the payments and remittance industry, cross-border payments, and international money transfer processes is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset and the ability to utilize data to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
