About the Role:

The Managed Services team is responsible for monitoring, maintenance, support, and consultancy of our client's IT systems and infrastructure. The team delivers full IT lifecycle services based on our client best practices framework.

The Network Specialist is a senior technical role primarily responsible for 2nd level technical assistance including diagnosing and resolving issues and problems with software, hardware, computer peripheral equipment, networks, cloud systems, databases, and the internet. This role also provides support in the deployment, installation, and maintenance of systems.

What you will do:

• Participate in planning, designing, and implementing network infrastructure.
• Maintain and monitor network infrastructure.
• Provide L1 and L2 network support.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, Qos, wireless.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including firware/IOS upgrades, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Be able to identify the cause and troubleshoot outages - work server outages and site outages.
• Resolve common server and network issues.
• Ensure that the security of the network is a top priority. Ensure that security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption are optimized.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.

Must have:

• Excellent English communications skills: written and verbal.
• 3+ years of experience in Network Engineer role.
• Firmware experience (Firewall, Router, Switches, etc...)
• VPN experience
• Hands on experience with access point and other network devices

Nice to have:

• MSP Experience
• Server knowledge
• VoIP
• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, etc
