As a Senior Java Developer, you will lead the design and deployment of advanced POS applications while driving architectural strategies and fostering a culture of innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor developers, and ensure the quality, scalability, and security of software solutions.

• Technical Leadership: Develop, design, and deploy POS applications using Java, Spring, and Angular frameworks, setting high standards for quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
  
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders in the Philippines and Australia.
  
• Architectural Strategy: Implement cloud-native architecture on Google Cloud Platform with robust CI/CD practices, and integrate monitoring and automated deployment tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  
• Process Optimization: Streamline Agile workflows, code reviews, and testing processes.
  
• Code Quality & Reviews: Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for long-term solution maintainability.
  
• Innovation & Trend Tracking: Integrate new technologies and methodologies.
  
• Team Culture & Development: Promote knowledge sharing and a collaborative culture.
  

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek:

• Ability to work independently and effectively within a small team.
  
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  
• Proven ability to collaborate with and manage geographically distributed staff.
  
• Solid background in Agile and Scrum-based development practices.
  

Technical Skills:

• Java Development: At least 8 years of commercial experience building Java applications.
  
• Framework Expertise: Proficiency in Spring Framework and Hibernate, with advanced knowledge of Angular (16+).
  
• Cloud Experience: Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) AWS experience is a plus.
  
• Database Knowledge: Strong SQL skills with experience in JasperReports and Firebase as a bonus.
  
• DevOps Processes: Hands-on experience with:
  

• IDEs: IntelliJ/WebStorm.
  
• CI/CD management using GitHub Actions.
  
• Build and deployment tools like Ant, Maven, and GitHub.
  
• Automated testing frameworks such as Marathon.
  
• Containerization tools like Docker.
  
• Cloud configuration tools such as Terraform.
  
• Observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or any related field.
